Hello everyone.

Hope all of you can hear me. My name is Ahmad Ikmal Fajri bin Mohd Saufi. You can call me Aaron Aziz. I am one of the three local guides that will accompany you on a conducted walk around the city this morning. The other guides are Hafeez and Anim.

Firstly, on behalf of Malaysia Tours I would like to welcome you all to Miri. For your information, Miri is the city situated at the northern end of Malaysian state of Sarawak on the island of Borneo and adjacent to the sultanate of Brunei Darussalam.  It is also the second largest city in Sarawak and has a population of 300,000 people with a mixture of Chinese, Dayak, Malay, Melanau, Indian, Kayan, Kenyah, Kelabit, Bidayuh and other indigenous groups. So today, we gonna be showing you around the city. The tour will be lasts about two to three hours. So, if you have any questions feel free to ask anytime.

            Today, we are going to Luak Esplanade. It is a great place for family outings and leisure enjoyment. With plenty of car parking space and a great beach front spanning kilometers, people gather there to enjoy the ocean scenery, face the ocean breeze, have picnics in the afternoons  and in the evenings people participate in car audio and various lively activities during the weekend. Our journey to the esplanade from this Empirial Hotel is about 20 minutes. So, along the journey, please keeps your eyes open for some of the interesting places in Miri City.
            In a few minutes, we’ll be passing the Pustaka Miri. It is a two-storey building earmarked as one of the anchor nodes for the Miri City Fan. Located along the central axis to Dewan Suarah Miri (Miri Civic Centre), this horseshoe-shaped sandstone building with lighth green curtain walling is designed as a tranquil oasis acting as the symbolic apex of information technology in the civic heart of Miri Resort City.
The ground floor houses Multimedia Galeri with a special corner dedicated for Children's Infotheque. The first floor houses an auditorium, special collection area, and Information Resource Centre which overlooks the Miri City Fan's amphitheatre and Garden of Vision.The basement floor houses the surau and a multipurpose room, which has a direct linkage to the amphitheatre.
In the distance of 200 metres ahead, we’ll be passing Taman Awam Miri. Taman Awam Miri is among the beautiful and pleasant  parks in Miri. There are flora gardens, souvenir center, canteen, observatory platform, children's playground, exhibitions room, stone carving and sculptures, waterfalls, suspension bridge, fountains, pavillions, jogging track and other sporting facilities. There is also a Children's Water playground.
            Up ahead, we will see the big’s sea horse in the middle of roundabout. The sea horse is the trade mark for Miri City. Now, we are at Luak Esplanade. Please have a wonderful moment with your family. We’ll back to the hotel in 3 hours from now.Thank you.
